Rent and Tax Rebate
Every year adults 65 and older may apply for a renters or owners tax rebate. We provide assistance filling out forms for those who wish to apply for these funds. Just give us a call and make an appointment. We usually have dates available from March through May.

Job Training
AARP Foundation offers employment training opportunities for those who are age 55+. Some paid job training positions are right here at September House. You could receive training in the following areas; administrative & Clerical, Custodial & maintenance, Kitchen assistants & food service, computer data entry, customer service & retail, etc.

2024 Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program

9:00 am – 11:30 am
Eligible York County seniors can receive coupons for fresh fruit and vegetables grown in PA, and these coupons can be redeemed June 1 – Nov 30 at participating Farmers Markets throughout PA.
Coupons are available at September House on Wednesday, June 26, 2024 from 9:00 until 11:30. Call ahead to be sure we are supplied with enough vouchers for everyone. You may also sign up for a take out lunch, or eat with us at the Center. If you cannot come to the Center for your vouchers, you may send someone else to pick them up for you. They will need a proxy form filled out, and they must provide a valid ID for both of you along with the completed proxy.
ID verifying York County residency and 60 years of age IS REQUIRED

Free Rabbit Transit Transportation
Adults at least 65 years of age may ride Paratransit from home to September House and then home again, FREE of charge. If you are not signed up, click on HERE to apply. It usually takes two weeks for your application to be approved. Once approved, you can call Rabbit Transportation to schedule your ride.
To schedule your ride, call at least by 11AM the day before your ride. If you are going to be a regular rider, ask about scheduling a “standing order”.
